About
I got started in this hobby with my wife's help.
First came a gorgeous piece of driftwood that was found on a beach toward the south end of Whidbey Island.
This sat in my garage for over 30 years.
After I retired from work, my wife saw an article in the local senior paper advertising classes which included finishing driftwood.
After the first night's class I was hooked.
At first I didn't keep any records of what I was doing.
Then I started by logging the grit of sandpaper I was using, the time spent with each grit and the type of preservtive finish I was applying.
Then I named, signed and dated each piece.
I have often been asked by people who have seen my work if I sell it.
The answer has always been NO.
As time has passed and I keep on adding more pieces, the wife says we are running out of room and now it is time to sell.
So that's what this website is all about.
